Urban Dispatch Associate

Role and Responsibilities: As an Urban Dispatch Associate, you will support the coordination and execution of mail dispatch operations in an urban delivery environment. Your work ensures that mail is routed and delivered efficiently within tight schedules.
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail and packages for dispatch according to USPS guidelines
- Coordinate with delivery personnel and logistics teams to streamline urban delivery operations
- Monitor dispatch schedules and ensure timely departures and arrivals of mail trucks
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for compliance and completeness
- Track and report delivery discrepancies and assist with resolving logistical issues
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched mail and delivery logs
- Adhere to safety protocols and USPS operational procedures at all times
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and tracking dispatch information
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Physical ability to lift, move, and sort packages as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dispatch, mailroom, or logistics operations
- Familiarity with USPS dispatch systems and procedures
- Experience working in urban delivery or transportation environments
