As part of our commitment to providing exceptional service to our visitors, we are expanding our team and are looking for a dedicated Live Chat Support Representative to engage with our customers in real-time, answering inquiries and offering assistance in a timely and professional manner. Job Description: We are seeking a customer-oriented Remote Live Chat Support Representative who will be the first point of contact for visitors seeking information about New Orleans' attractions, events, hotels, and services. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service through live chat, delivering fast, accurate, and helpful responses to inquiries. Your primary goal will be to enhance the overall visitor experience and promote New Orleans as a top travel destination. Key Responsibilities:

  • Live Chat Support: Respond to incoming live chat inquiries from visitors and customers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Customer Assistance: Provide information on local attractions, events, restaurants, hotels, transportation, and general city information, ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer concerns or issues in real-time, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Promote New Orleans: Use your knowledge of the city to suggest events, activities, and experiences that may align with the customer’s interests.
  • Database Management: Log and track customer interactions, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and follows up on outstanding issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, events, tourism) to ensure all information shared with customers is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain Professionalism: Ensure all communications are handled in a polite, positive, and professional manner, representing the company’s values.
  • Multitasking: Handle multiple live chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Feedback Collection: Collect customer feedback to help improve services, and report trends or recurring issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, live chat support, or a related field (1-2 years preferred).
  • Strong typing skills (60+ WPM) and excellent written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with live chat platforms, CRM systems, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software or technology.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of New Orleans or experience in the tourism industry is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $24 - $28 per hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Hours: Monday through Friday. with Part time hours 15-30 hours weekly, 3-6 hours daily. Full time hours 30-40 hours weekly, 6-8 hours daily.
