Economic Analyst

Job Profile

  • Collect, clean, and analyze economic data (GDP, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, debt, trade flows, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain econometric models (DSGE, VAR/SVAR, Taylor Rule frameworks, etc.) to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor central bank policies, government announcements, and global economic developments, and assess their implications.
  • Prepare research briefs, reports, charts, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and update databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Support economist and other analysts in thematic policy studies and special projects.
  • Translate quantitative analysis into clear insights for decision-makers.

Applicant Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons), with specialization in econometrics preferred.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in economic research or a related field.
  • Solid academic background in macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical and econometric software (STATA, Excel; knowledge of R or EViews is advantageous).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience working with macroeconomic, financial, or policy-related datasets.
  • Familiarity with forecasting models and advanced quantitative methods
  • Ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Motivation to stay updated on global and domestic economic developments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
