Job Overview

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will work closely with the Show Director and Content Creation team to prepare and operate in the Replay Job during live events, either as a Replay-only position or as a Packager. Your expertise in following game storylines, creating content with minimal direction, and recognizing key moments will be essential in supporting production needs. You will also participate in the development of individual staff members through training and workshops, contributing to the growth and improvement of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate in the Replay Job during live events, creating content with minimal direction to support production needs
• Follow game storylines, recognize key moments, and replay them quickly live with minimal bearing
• Participate in the development of individual staff members through training and workshops
• Contribute to administrative tasks on various platforms (O365, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Analyze technical broadcast equipment, address workflow issues, and effectively communicate problems and solutions
• Collaborate across the enterprise to plan the needs of the Event Operations team for specific productions

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years of practical television production or related experience at the small to medium broadcast market, digital/streaming platform, or similar collegiate broadcast level
• "Live" live replay experience using industry-standard equipment
• Scheduling flexibility, including the ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently, and support simultaneous projects
• Excellent client service skills
• Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and planning skills
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
• Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Strong computer knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience in a live control room or remote event environment working on live sports or non-scripted live programming
• Understanding of the terminology, workflows, and equipment related to live event productions, including replay servers, telestration systems, all-in-one production units, and video switcher infrastructure
• Knowledge of broadcast production equipment, workflows, and technology, including remote and office-based productions
• Basic understanding of computer network architecture
• Strong understanding of business productivity and collaboration platforms (Slack, O365, Smartsheet, Conversion, or similar platforms)
• Ability to interpret and understand complex information while disseminating it to relevant staff in a clear and concise manner
