Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Strategist to work on a remote basis with one of our key clients in Denver, CO. As an Enterprise Data Strategist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing data governance strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to assess their understanding of data governance, identify current needs and challenges, and establish a clear scope for the data governance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Governance Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess their understanding of data governance and identify current needs and challenges. Establish a clear scope for the data governance strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with leadership, including the Executive Team and Cabinet members, to gain buy-in and support for the data governance strategy.
• Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks tailored to the needs of the SLDS project.
• Ongoing Support and Guidance: Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to data governance principles and practices.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with the Department's Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating guidance and feedback from the Department into the work.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Data Governance Expertise: Strong knowledge of data governance principles, best practices, and methodologies.
• Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex data governance challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Communication and Influencing Skills: Ability to engage and influence senior leadership to gain support for data governance initiatives.
• Experience in Large-Scale Projects: Experience working in large-scale projects or initiatives, preferably within the public sector or government agencies.
