In this role, you will be working remotely and will be an integral part of the Revenue Technology & Data Analytics IT team, which is responsible for driving innovation and excellence in revenue management, loyalty, data analytics, and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

As an IT Summer Intern at Delta Air Lines, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, including:

• Assisting in the development, testing, and implementation of software applications and systems
• Participating in business analysis, data analytics, and technical support for IT operations
• Working with various technologies, including Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Angular, Agile/DevOps delivery, API, JavaScript, C++ on Linux, Python, REST, XML, web services, HTML, Oracle, and mobile technology
• Contributing to the development of performance dashboards and service level agreements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Be able to commit to the full 13-week summer internship program (May 13 – August 9, 2024)
• Be willing to work from the Atlanta or MSP office (as agreed upon during the interview), with a hybrid work schedule and control approval
• Have a 2.5 GPA or better and have completed at least 2 years in a university program, with a degree emphasis in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics/Operations Research, Cyber Security, Business Management, or a related field
• Possess strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
• Be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize safety and security
• Be interested in working for Delta Air Lines after graduation, if offered a full-time opportunity

• Ability to digest large amounts of data and succinctly explain findings and recommendations
• Desire to analyze management strategies and best practices in problem-solving and decision-making
• Passion for working on cloud computing and technology, including mobile apps, enterprise web apps, APIs, messaging, databases, big data, or artificial intelligence
