About the Fellowships

We are offering two fellowships:

  • The Straub Summer Fellowship: A 10-week paid program for current junior and senior college students ($10,500 stipend).
  • The Straub Residency: An 8-month paid post-graduate assignment for newly awarded college graduates ($25,000 stipend).

Key Responsibilities

As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including:

  • Assisting with investment management and debt management
  • Providing financial services and support to governments and Oregonians
  • Contributing to the development of financial empowerment programs
  • Collaborating with our team to achieve our goals and objectives

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for the Robert W. Straub Fellowships, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (for the Straub Summer Fellowship) or have recently graduated (for the Straub Residency)
  • Strong academic record and relevant coursework in finance, economics, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Commitment to public service and finance

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in investment management, debt management, or financial services
  • Knowledge of public finance and investment principles
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
