Our Tax Controversy and Advertising teams are responsible for managing tax disputes and controversies, as well as developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize our tax liability. As a Tax Data Strategy Manager, you will work closely with these teams to develop and implement data governance frameworks, validate data, and identify opportunities for process improvements.Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Data Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for:- Extracting and analyzing large datasets using SQL, investigating and troubleshooting complex data issues
- Translating technical findings into clear communications for leadership, tax authorities, and stakeholders
- Designing and implementing data governance frameworks and validation protocols
- Building and maintaining comprehensive dashboards and tracking systems
- Evaluating and implementing technical tools and solutions, including integration of enterprise systems
- Supporting development of audit data frameworks
- Creating and maintaining project roadmaps and completion strategies
- Cultivating and implementing solutions for existing audit practices
- Driving consensus and approvals for various tax projects and initiatives
- Developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Driving process improvements by conducting deep-dive analyses of current workflows to identify critical dependencies
- Leveraging Gen AI and emerging technologies to create operational efficiencies and standardization
- Developing and implementing plans to remediate technical debt and manual processes
- Evaluating and implementing technical tools and solutions, including integration of enterprise systems
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience with data governance frameworks and validation protocols
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools
- Experience with Gen AI and emerging technologies
