About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Representative, Purification and Filtration Bioprocessing to join our team in Southern California. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing territory sales goals, building relationships with key personnel, and identifying new business development opportunities. This is a remote role that offers the freedom and flexibility to work from anywhere, with up to 50% domestic travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish territory sales goals and utilize appropriate tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives
  • Work with Marketing and Application Engineering to understand new customer and business development opportunities
  • Build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals
  • Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users
  • Generate leads for new business through interactions with end-users
  • Provide materials to simplify the manufacturing of life-changing therapeutics
  • Help customers quickly get new therapeutics to market
  • Provide lower-cost alternatives to protein manufacturers

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND three (3) years of Biopharmaceutical sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • OR High School Diploma/GED AND seven (7) years of Biopharmaceutical sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's License
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline
    • Experience selling process equipment in a scientific environment
    • Experience in a private, public, government, or military environment designing protein manufacturing processes
    • Manufacturing experience in a protein therapeutic company
    • Proven track record of sales growth

To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and the ability to build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels.

The expected compensation range for this position is $110,762 - $135,375, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
