Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and social networking sites in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a fair and courteous manner
  • Provide customers with information about American Express products and services
  • Process customer transactions, such as payments and account updates
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, such as customer satisfaction and first-call resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with American Express products, services, and policies to provide accurate and helpful information to customers

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a remote or call center environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with American Express products and services
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technology, such as phone systems and email management tools
  • Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR)
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
