Job Summary: CNC 5 Axis Miller

Moog Aircraft Group is seeking an apprentice-trained, experienced 5 Axis Milling Machinist to join our team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. As a CNC 5 Axis Miller, you will be responsible for setting and running multiple machine processes, operating CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, and carrying out own 1st off inspection and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and run multiple machine processes, including CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres
• Operate CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, with a focus on exceptionally close tolerances
• Carry out own 1st off inspection and complete necessary quality documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvements and achieve drawing tolerances
• Utilize relevant inspection techniques and equipment to ensure accuracy and quality

Essential and Preferred Qualifications:

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry
• Proven knowledge and experience of Matsuura and DMG machines (preferred)
• Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling
• Proven skills within a multi-axis/complex machining environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on process improvement techniques

Security Clearance:

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
