Key Responsibilities

  • Connect directly with veterinary facilities to coordinate prescription authorizations, resolve client issues, and clarify order requests.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot to determine appropriate solutions for clients and core partners, following up as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Complete accurate data entry of prescriptions into Chewy's healthcare software.
  • Maintain a high level of quality through data entry and order processing of veterinary pharmacy orders.
  • Work with understanding, undivided attention, patience, empathy, and graciousness to clients and partners alike.
  • Communicate effectively with veterinary facilities via telephone, utilizing internal programs and systems to navigate solutions and document center note accounts.
  • Expect to spend a significant portion of the typical business day on outbound veterinary center/client telephone contacts.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in a client or healthcare-centered environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Ability to multitask (e.g., chat on the telephone while navigating on the PC and taking notes).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to maintain a Pharmacy Professional Permit from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy where applicable.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change as per the business needs of the organization.
  • Flexibility to shift schedule and stay at work longer than required depending on the needs of the specialty unit.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or veterinary setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
