Position: Data Modeler

Location: United States (Remote)

Experience: 10+ years

Mandatory: Data Vault Modeling, ERWIN, Health Plan, Snowflake Data Warehouse, Azure, SQL, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing (DW) Concepts

Desired: Power BI, Matillion, Data Lakehouse Architecture, Healthcare Claims (Payer's domain), Dimensional Modelling, Canonical Model Building

Duties

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories
• Analyze source systems and define target schemas in Snowflake
• Lead data warehouse migration from legacy platforms to Snowflake
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements
• Implement data governance-compliant schemas
• Support ETL processes and data warehousing initiatives
• Apply industry best practices for data modeling and database design
• Use tools like Matillion, Visio, and BPMN for documentation and modeling
• Translate business needs into optimized data structures for analytics and reporting

Required

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing
• Proven expertise in Snowflake, Azure, and SQL
• Experience in Healthcare Plan, Medicare, Medicaid, Billing, claims, etc REQUIRED.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Matillion, and lakehouse architecture
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and canonical models
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Relevant certifications in data platforms or cloud technologies are a plus
