We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-Assistant) to join our team as a Teletherapy Specialist, working with our inspiring clients ages 21 and up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality teletherapy services to adult clients with IDD, addressing a wide range of speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to achieve short-term and long-term goals as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
  • Document therapy visits and maintain accurate records, ensuring timely submission within a 24-hour timeline.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and case managers to share updates, progress, and therapy goals.
  • Utilize and augment resources provided by Soundly Speaking to deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and case managers to adapt to changing circumstances and ensure seamless client care.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Texas-issued Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant License.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Have completed 25 Clinical and 25 Observation TDLR-approved hours as required for a Texas license.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to learn on the job and adapt to new situations.
  • Be comfortable working with adults in their homes and/or outside of a clinical setting.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous experience working with adult clients with IDD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital platforms and tools for teletherapy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple clients.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for teletherapy, including digital platforms and tools.
