Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner throughout the weekend, ensuring that all callers receive a high level of service and support.
  • Evaluating the nature of each call and taking appropriate action, which may include providing guidance, resolving issues, or escalating complex problems to the agency's management team.
  • Managing last-minute scheduling and rota changes for care staff alongside the Scheduling Team, ensuring that care services are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
  • Problem-solving and offering practical solutions to any issues that arise, using your knowledge and experience to think outside the box and provide effective support.
  • Escalating critical or complex issues to the agency's management team as needed, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Logging all calls and outcomes in an organised and efficient manner, maintaining accurate records and providing valuable insights to inform future service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong common sense and the ability to think on your feet. You should have excellent phone manner, with a calm, patient, and professional approach to handling calls. Prior experience in telephone support, customer service, or the care sector is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
