Job Summary

As a Customs Brokerage Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payables and receivables. You'll work closely with our accounting team, clients, and vendors to resolve issues, process transactions, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities

• Payables and Receivables Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of all aspects of payables and receivables, including merchant, client, and vendor setup in Prophet.
• Transaction Entry: Enter payable, charging invoices, and property installments into Prophet, and perform weekly check runs for Canada and the USA.
• Cost Reporting: Review and enter cost reports, and resolve client and vendor inquiries regarding past due payments, payment applications, booking, charging errors, and credit adjustments.
• System Integration: Interface outside charging systems into Prophet, resolve errors, and review vendor statements.
• Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and reconcile results, update and adjust complex Excel accounting sheets, and generate reports from multiple systems while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Prophet, Excel, and other accounting software; experience with automated systems and data analysis.
