Job Overview

As a Remote Call Center Representative - Data Entry Specialist at Walgreens, you will be the frontline representative of the company, handling patient inquiries, resolving third-party rejects, and ensuring seamless data entry. Working under general supervision, you will be responsible for maintaining guideline working procedures and performing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Walgreens's prescription data entry methodology and guidelines to process new patient enrollments by entering information into the appropriate system.
• Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
• Research and obtain missing prescription information, and decipher clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
• Resolve all data entry-related exceptions, and communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and in other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.
• Maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic level computer skills, including the ability to start and shut down a computer, use a mouse to point and click, and access information online.
• Basic web browser skills, including the ability to open a browser, type URLs, use a search engine, and complete online forms.
• Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or call center environment.
• At least 1.5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy or a widely recognized certification agency.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
• Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents).
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
