Customer Care Professional: Job Overview

As a Customer Care Professional at American Express, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to our clients. You'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with support, guidance, and solutions to their queries and concerns. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound customer calls, providing timely and effective solutions to their queries and concerns
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of American Express products and services, including our Small Business Services (SBS) offerings
  • Communicate the value proposition of our products and services to customers, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
  • Build strong relationships with customers, providing personalized support and guidance to meet their needs
  • Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Comply with all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring that customer interactions are handled in a fair and transparent manner

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales environment, with a demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and build strong customer relationships
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications are desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment, with a focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the financial services industry, or a related field
  • Knowledge of American Express products and services, or a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are desirable
