Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process prescriptions, including data entry, verification, and filling, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems to access patient and medication information, and perform tasks such as counting, pouring, and verifying medications.
  • Assist pharmacists with tasks such as booking and maintaining workflow, and handling calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, processing manual claims for third-party program prescription services, and performing other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Support inventory management activities, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, and maintaining knowledge of company asset security procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances, and maintain displays, including promotional and seasonal displays.
  • Provide customer support in the photo area, including digital identification photo services, and assist with online order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours.
  • PTCB certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens.
  • Strong numerical skills, including the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh prescriptions.
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity with store inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of store stock control procedures.
  • PTCB certification.
