Job Summary
As a Generative AI Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge Generative AI solutions that leverage the latest advancements in natural language processing, multimodal, and image generation. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their business objectives. You'll also collaborate with our internal teams to ensure seamless integration with our cloud-based services.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Advisor: Implement and install the latest state-of-the-art system learning algorithms under Gen AI. You'll build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and discover new solutions. You'll interact closely with our clients and the academic community.
- Thought Leadership: Evangelize AWS GenAI offerings and share best practices through channels such as AWS blogs, white papers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events like AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
- Partner with SAS, Sales, Business Development, and the AI/ML Service groups: Boost consumer adoption and provide guidance on their client engagements.
- Act as a technical liaison: Between clients and the AWS SageMaker services teams to offer consumer-driven product development feedback.
- Develop and assist an AWS internal network: Of ML-related challenges to be counted as professionals worldwide. Create area enablement materials for the wider SA population, to help them understand how to combine Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of data scientist experience
- 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 3+ years of system knowledge/statistical modeling statistics evaluation tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
- 2+ years experience studying and applying big language and generative AI models
- Strong background in Natural Language Processing, including experience with text representation, language modeling, sequence-to-sequence architectures, and semantic understanding
- 3+ years of experience in technical architecture, design, deployment, and operational level expertise
Preferred Qualifications
* Active in the open-source network, including HuggingFace, StableDiffusion, etc
- Large models pre-train/fine-tuning experience, familiar with distributed training
- Customer-facing abilities to represent AWS properly in the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior employees concerning trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation. Should be able to interact with Chief Data Science Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers, as well as the people within their organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an organization's environment. Track record of concept management and innovation around Machine Learning.
- Experience with LangChain, LLAMAIndex, Foundation version tuning, Data Augmentation, and Performance Evaluation frameworks
- Led a cloud initiative as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer of their own IT transformation.
