Job Summary
As a Research Design Consultant, you'll work closely with our Network Planning Team and other departments to analyze complex datasets, develop insights, and create strategic recommendations to inform our flight schedule and network planning processes. You'll be responsible for synthesizing large amounts of data, developing high-quality presentation materials, and communicating findings to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with Teams and Leaders across Network Planning and Business Teams to ensure alignment and cooperation on multiple initiatives and projects
- Analyze schedules and complex datasets to identify relevant insights for stakeholders
- Synthesize large quantities of data using SQL, Access, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx
- Develop high-quality and timely presentation materials to inform and influence senior leaders
- Navigate the complexities of multiple Teams and engagements
- Analyze historical profitability and performance metrics to gain insights on future performance
- Contribute to the development of innovative network designs, connectivity structures, scheduling approaches, and other initiatives that drive business growth and improvement
- Deliver evaluations and recommendations that demonstrate a clear understanding of the business issue and its wider impact on the broader business organization and company
- Communicate findings and insights to branch and Commercial/Operational Leaders using a communication approach that acknowledges the target audience and provides a clear path forward
- May perform other task responsibilities as directed by Employee's Leaders
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering)
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, research, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and develop insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in SQL, Access, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx, with experience working with large datasets
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the airline industry
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering)
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, research, or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Familiarity with airline operations, network planning, and scheduling
- Certification in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
