Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Science Engineer 1 to join our team of visionary engineers. As a Data Science Engineer 1, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to apply data-driven insights and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems, leveraging your expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and large language models.
  • Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to help the organization make better data-driven, AI-assisted decisions, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and performance while minimizing computational costs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, clean, and curate large and diverse datasets from various sources, utilizing your knowledge of data management, data modeling, and data quality assurance.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, data sanitizing, feature engineering, and data visualization to gain insights and identify potential areas for improvement, presenting your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Optimize machine learning models and algorithms to ensure scalability, accuracy, and performance, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and big data technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, updating or refining them as needed, and contributing to innovation activities like ideathons and hackathons to foster a culture of creativity and experimentation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, with a Master's degree or higher preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with popular data science libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, and Pandas.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data science industry projects leveraging machine learning, deep learning, transformer-based large language models, or other innovative AI technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with knowledge of MATLAB Simulink Regression learner apps and app design being a plus.
  • Solid understanding of calculus, linear algebra, probability, machine learning algorithms, Transformer architecture-based models, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh, or Dash, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualification: B.E/Postgraduate in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning and statistical algorithms and techniques, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in Large Language Models (LLM).
  • Possession of relevant certification/s in data science from reputed universities specializing in AI, with prior experience in the engineering domain being a nice to have.
