Remotive is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our BI Reporting Team. This full-time position is based in Phoenix, AZ, and offers the opportunity to drive innovation in business intelligence and data-driven engineering. You will help shape the architecture, scalability, and performance of our BI reporting infrastructure.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the BI Reporting Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data reporting tools and pipelines. You’ll partner with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to build high-quality, performant solutions that enable real-time insights and decision-making across the organization. Your work will impact internal stakeholders and external product experiences alike.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (Python, Java, or equivalent)

• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI

• Expertise in SQL and building complex data models

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data lakes

• Experience with ETL processes and data warehouse management

• Strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI reporting systems and services

• Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes

• Collaborate with analysts to develop scalable reporting dashboards

• Integrate third-party APIs and automate data flows

• Work with DevOps to deploy data products in CI/CD environments

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

• Monitor system performance and resolve bottlenecks

• Partner with product and engineering teams to align BI goals
