We are seeking a Regional Buyer I, Produce to join our procurement team and support the sourcing and merchandising of high-quality produce in the New York region. The ideal candidate is passionate about fresh food, highly analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the product assortment and drive value for customers while ensuring optimal supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Source fresh produce directly from farms, growers, and regional distributors to ensure consistent quality and competitive pricing.

• Monitor inventory levels and sales data to make data-driven purchasing decisions.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and availability of key products.

• Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of trends, seasonality, and regional preferences.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with promotions.

• Ensure all sourced items meet food safety, regulatory, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, agriculture, or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of produce buying or sourcing experience, ideally in a multicultural or perishable goods setting.

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with produce categories and regional market dynamics.

• Bilingual abilities (English/Mandarin or Spanish) a plus.

• Ability to work onsite or travel within the assigned region as needed.
