Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Silicon Media IP Platform Engineering System Manager to lead the development of complex silicon for Apple products. As a Silicon Media IP Platform Engineering System Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the engineering, design execution, validation, prototyping, and power/performance development efforts across Media IPs at Apple. Your impact will be felt across all Apple product lines, and you will have the opportunity to work on key technologies such as Display, Camera Processing, Video Codecs, Brain Engines, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams within the HW Technologies organization, including Platform Engineering, Design and Validation, and Silicon Validation to enable high-quality development and delivery of all Apple Media IPs.
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Design, Power and Performance, FPGA prototyping, and SoC integration teams to enable IP integration in time for SoC tapeout.
• Adapt to dynamic SoC execution lifecycles and effectively manage requirements and changes.
• Provide regular, clear, and concise communication of IP status to Apple leaders, with focused tracking, coordinating, and reporting of program risks, status, and options for resolution.
• Develop and drive engineering assignments to meet demanding product launch schedules.
• Provide in-depth comprehension of technical issues related to Media IP blocks and drive investigation to enable resolution of issues by uniting key cross-functional partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in silicon/SoC R&D engineering, with a technical program management or engineering leadership background.
• Self-motivated and committed individual with innovative and decisive thinking capacities.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Outstanding communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary engineering environment with strong project management skills.
• Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
• Devotion to owning/driving project planning and development using visible metrics.
• Experience with Digital Video Signal Processing is a plus.
