Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer to lead our offshore team and work on exciting projects. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for software development, implementing microservices architecture, programming in Java using the Spring Framework, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This is a full-time remote role, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test web-based J2EE applications in a 3-tier computing environment
• Lead the development of software solutions using Java, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Develop high-quality, sophisticated web front-ends using XHTML, HTML5, DHTML, JSON, JavaScript, and CSS
• Create high-quality documentation to present technical ideas and high-level solutions
• Communicate effectively with team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge
• Develop and validate web services
• Troubleshoot issues, including root cause analysis and break/fix support
• Work in an Agile environment, including discrete functional packages for incremental builds

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum 7-10 years of software development experience using Java, JSP, Servlet, and XML development skills
• Strong client-side scripting skills, including JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, and JSON
• Experience with multi-system integration and common issues that can arise when integrating enterprise technologies
• Familiarity with SQL Server skills
• Experience delivering in an Agile environment, including discrete functional packages for incremental builds
• Solid troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and break/fix support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Perl, CGI
• Experience developing distributed and transactional systems utilizing middleware/local databases and communicating with mainframe databases
• Familiarity with JMS & Websphere
• Familiarity with Documentum
• Familiarity with designing/developing eCommerce applications
• Familiarity with developing web applications in at least one additional programming language
