Job Responsibilities

As a Math Tutor, you'll be responsible for:

• Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Working collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Hours and Compensation

We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs, with a minimum of 3+ shifts of 3+ hours per week. Our competitive compensation package includes:

• Starting compensation: $13.00 per hour for current high school students, $15.00 per hour for current college students, and $15.00+ per hour for current graduates
• Opportunities for advancement and salary increases based on performance and experience

Qualifications

To succeed as a Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Murfreesboro, you'll need:

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Eagerness to learn and be trained on our curriculum and teaching methodologies
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check
