Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced part-time Computer Science tutor who specializes in SyntaxNet, Google Language Processing, Scikit-learn, and OCR in python to join our team. As a tutor, you will work one-on-one with students to assist with homework, projects, test preparation, and other academic tasks. You will also provide feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress, design and implement lesson plans at various academic levels, and maintain good communication between parents and students.
Primary Responsibilities
* Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, and other academic tasks
- Provide feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress
- Design and implement lesson plans at various academic levels
- Maintain good communication between parents and students
- Ability to tutor online via Zoom
- Collaborate with parents and students to set academic goals and develop strategies for achieving them
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Computer Science and adapt your teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in ongoing professional development to improve your teaching skills and knowledge
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years prior teaching/tutoring experience
- A relatively flexible schedule, particularly after on weekday afternoons and weekends
- In-depth knowledge of High School AP Computer Science curriculum
- Knowledge of SyntaxNet, Google Language Processing, Scikit-learn, and OCR in python
- Previous experience creating lesson plans, and managing tutoring timelines
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a prestigious university
- A fun, positive personality and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate Zoom professionally
- Minimum 1-year commitment
