We're seeking an experienced Medical Administrative Lead Representative to join our HEDIS Research Team on a 3-4 month contract with a high potential to extend. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home and our remote office, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. About the Role

As a Medical Administrative Lead Representative, you'll be responsible for providing administrative support to our research team, utilizing your critical thinking skills, research experience, and knowledge of CPT codes and claims data. Your daily activities will include tracking assigned research in electronic systems, utilizing claims systems, and gathering provider/location information using the Internet. You'll also be responsible for managing large amounts of data electronically, filing documents in electronic filing software, faxing, scanning, and abstracting documents from electronic storage devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Administrative Lead Representative (Research Team) - This role differs from the regular HEDIS Admin role, as there is limited phone or customer outreach.
  • Perform critical thinking, research, and analysis using CPT codes and claims data.
  • Work under the direction of the Team Lead and other personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication, computer, and clerical skills to support the research team.
  • Track assigned research in electronic systems, utilizing claims systems, and gathering provider/location information using the Internet.
  • Manage large amounts of data electronically, file documents in electronic filing software, faxing, scanning, and abstracting documents from electronic storage devices.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Word and Outlook, Excel, PDF, WebEx, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work comfortably with multiple computer systems, including dual monitors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to perform Internet research and research using Cigna proprietary software systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to demonstrate tenacity to obtain medical records.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of CPT Codes and Claims data - Required for the Research Team.
  • A secure designated work area and a reliable Internet connection are required for this 100% remote position.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Knowledge of CPT Codes and Claims data - Required for the Research Team.
  • Experience as a medical assistant or clinical administrative assistant.
  • Coding, claims, and medical record review experience.

Schedule

This role is a 3-4 month contract with a high potential to extend, and the scheduled time is 8 am - 4:30 pm Local Time.
