Job Summary

As an entry-level MIG Welder at Aerotek, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing and production team. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including production MIG welding, reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up welding jobs on fixtures, and utilizing tools as needed. Key Responsibilities

* Perform production MIG welding on various steel products

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient welding
• Set up welding jobs on fixtures and utilize tools as needed
• Perform welds in multiple positions, including overhead, flat, and vertical
• Visually inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Grind out welds as needed to achieve desired results

Essential Qualifications

* Previous experience using a welder (MIG or other types)

• Strong foundation in welding principles and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

• Familiarity with welding safety protocols and procedures
• Basic knowledge of metallurgy and materials science
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications
