Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack National Lead Site of Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Rare Disease Management and Infusion Therapy Development team, you'll play a critical role in assessing, planning, and implementing Amgen programs to support treatment delivery for our infused therapy offerings. You'll serve as the lead point of contact for patient services, sales, trade, SOC, market access, marketing, and account management functions for assigned SOC customers/partners and professional infusion associations at the corporate level.

Key Responsibilities

As a National Lead Site of Care Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
  • Enhancing site of care (SOC) opportunities in accordance with product labeling, strategic imperatives, and Company policies.
  • Leading and ensuring coordination and communication across all parties involved in building SOC networks at the national level.
  • Identifying, evaluating, developing, monitoring, partnerships/business plans within the designated customer/partner accounts to align with defined objectives.
  • Developing and growing relationships with appropriate individuals within the accounts to meet the business needs of the customer/partner and Amgen through a collaborative approach while getting results.
  • Developing an alliance with field-based colleagues to ensure the appropriate level of cross-functional support for customers within a defined geography and for developing and executing pull-through strategies.
  • Developing and delivering business presentations/reviews to customers/partners based on mutual needs/benefits.
  • Identifying case to support contracts in coordination with the Trade team when contracting is determined to be the appropriate course of action.
  • Seeking out opportunities for partnership to achieve both Amgen and customer goals.
  • Identifying national and regional specific opportunities and barriers to ensure the best path forward.
  • Understanding health care issues/strategies, customer issues/trends, and standard methodologies to establish credibility beyond product and therapeutic areas.
  • Exercising sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies in all activities and communications.
  • Adhering to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and Company policies.
  • Attending/staffing/participating in meetings and/or conferences as requested by management.

Qualifications

We're looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in Rare Disease Management and Infusion Therapy Development. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Doctorate degree and 2 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A Master's degree and 6 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 8 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • An Associate's degree and 10 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A High school diploma/GED and 12 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to the basic qualifications, we're looking for a candidate with:
  • Recent launch experience with infused products preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in infused therapies and rare diseases.
  • A strong track record of collaboration and leadership of key initiatives.
  • Previous experience with corporate level account planning.
  • Cross-functional project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of buy and bill, market access, and site of care customer segments, private and government, including reimbursement.
  • Experience with key accounts and/or IDN management.
  • Direct experience working with and across the various infusion service areas within the US healthcare system.
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions but with the knowledge of the situations where supervisory input is essential.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments along with demonstrated integrity on the job.
  • Fostering innovation in account approaches and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, combined with a keen ability to recognize issues in the context of higher-level policies and regulations.
