As a Data Analyst at Disney, you will be responsible for:- Applying advanced analytical procedures (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) on large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions.
- Analyzing customer behavior (e.g., viewing preferences, consumption patterns) to identify untapped customer needs and undiscovered content opportunities.
- Forecasting content engagement to inform procurement decisions.
- Streamlining our content release and episode discharge methodology.
- Testing marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention.
- Ideating and developing new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both strategic and tactical navigation.
- Providing ad-hoc analytical support to partners to drive business growth.
- Effectively communicating significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in statistical analysis and AI methods.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience in R and Python programming languages.
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and apply creativity to tackle complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:- A Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing environments.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- A passion for media and entertainment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.
