About the Role

We're looking for a licensed Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. As an Academic Support - Literacy/Math Intervention/4-5 Explorations Teacher, you will work closely with classroom teachers to identify and support at-risk students, while also providing engaging and challenging instruction in areas such as information and technology literacy, inquiry, and ethical communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Literacy and Math Intervention:
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement targeted intervention strategies for at-risk students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support students in literacy and math.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• 4-5 Explorations:
  • Design and deliver specialized instruction to students in grades 4 and 5, focusing on information and technology literacy, inquiry, and ethical communication.
  • Instruct and assess students on research skills within the context of Minnesota state social studies and English language arts standards.
  • Foster a love of learning and curiosity in students through engaging and interactive lessons.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• An Elementary Education License or K-6 License or 1-6 License from the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
• Strong technology skills, with the ability to integrate technology into instruction.
• A PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license, demonstrating your commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:

• Experience working with at-risk students and developing targeted intervention strategies.
• Knowledge of best practices in literacy and math instruction, as well as information and technology literacy.
• A proven track record of successfully collaborating with classroom teachers to support student learning.
