Production Operator Position Overview

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assembling components
  • Operating robotic and manual welding equipment
  • Spraying components with ceramic glass coating
  • Hanging and unhanging tanks from paint hangers
  • Operating basic hand tools (manual and automatic) for extended periods
  • Setting up heavy equipment

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Meeting production targets and quality standards
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve production goals
  • Identifying and reporting any quality or safety issues
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Production Operator, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • The ability to work a 2nd shift (earliest start time is 2 pm and latest end time is 1:30 am)
  • The ability to stand, walk, and move frequently, with frequent bending and reaching
  • The ability to lift 50-75 pounds with and without assistance from a lifting device
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is warmer in summer and cooler in winter
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills, with the ability to follow specific work instructions
  • A strong commitment to work safety and quality standards
