Experienced Full Stack Web Developer – Remote Marketplace Platform Development

The Role

As a full stack web developer on our team, you'll play a critical role in rebuilding our marketplace platform from the ground up. You'll work closely with our team to design, develop, and deploy a scalable and secure platform that meets the needs of our users. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining connections between WordPress and Next.js (messaging, sign-in, payments, and more)
• Collaborating on the migration and rebuild of the marketplace using WordPress and Next.js
• Customizing and enhancing features of the existing Listeo theme
• Utilizing REST API or GraphQL (REST API preferred) to manage data connections
• Ensuring seamless integration between WordPress and Next.js for a dynamic user experience

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain high-quality code that meets our standards for scalability, security, and performance

• Collaborate with our team to design and implement new features and functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development and deployment
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in web development and technology trends
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase

Qualifications:

* Strong experience with PHP and WordPress development (at least 3 years)

• Proficiency in Next.js and React (at least 1 year)
• Knowledge of REST API or GraphQL (REST API preferred)
• Experience with custom WordPress themes or plugins (Listeo theme experience is a plus)
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with testing and debugging tools (e.g. Jest, Cypress)
