Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of data and insights initiatives and projects across Walgreens Health, ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Design, develop, and deploy layered datasets and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics programs, leveraging ETL/ELT services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Develop data staging and pre-processing rules for populating logical and physical data models tied to report-specific working tables for both enterprise business intelligence and pre-defined reporting solutions.
• Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal production system sources and third-party files.
• Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets.
• Create internal tools for automating all development-related activities, such as data processing, QA, and data validation.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts.
• Experience designing and deploying logically separated data environments using ETL/ELT services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct supervision, indirect management, or cross-functional team leadership experience.
• Ability to travel up to/at least 5% of the time for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state).
