Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Sales Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our Sales Representatives and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a remote opportunity with flexible hours, offering a unique chance to work from the comfort of your own home while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Suggestive selling to current customers to increase sales and revenue
- Accurately inputting sales orders and maintaining accurate customer records
- Answering all calls promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently
- Taking customer messages and orders, escalating calls and/or issues to the appropriate individual or department as needed
- Attending to will-call customers and making telephone calls to customers and following customer call sheets
- Updating changes to customer order guides (in Seasoft) under the supervision or request of the account manager
- Updating customer price sheets as scheduled or as needed, maintaining accurate customer price lists in Seasoft
- Compiling sales data and developing product knowledge and market information to continually increase knowledge of the industry and pricing rationale
- Supporting customer service and sales department with special projects as assigned
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus
- Three to five years of progressively responsible, related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the Company
- Ability to learn Seasoft software package
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to transfer attention from one task to another frequently without affecting performance
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Ability to identify and resolve pricing inconsistencies associated with multiple types of pricing methods
- Ability to manage a large volume of detailed work with accuracy
- Great attention to detail with minimal supervision
- Excellent telephone skills and etiquette
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include:
- Sitting, standing, talking, and hearing for extended periods
- Constantly using hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects
- Occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking
- Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
