What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Remote Customer Service/Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Verifying, responding to, and dispatching emergency signals to ensure timely and effective response to customer needs
  • Answering incoming calls and notifying customers of non-emergency signals, providing clear and concise information to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Processing basic data changes to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Handling signals from various locations and TTY stations, adapting to different situations and customer needs
  • Working under close supervision during the first 30 days, with ongoing training and support to ensure success in the role

What Is Required (Qualifications)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Proficiency in verification and dispatching of alarms to police/fire agencies, with a strong understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Knowledge of different types of signals and standard operating procedures (SOPs), with the ability to apply this knowledge in high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office applications, and the internet, with the ability to navigate and utilize these tools effectively
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and provide clear, concise information

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate for this role:

  • One to three months of related experience or training/certification in customer service, security monitoring, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of VIP accounts and department, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a customer-facing role
