QA Lead

• Lead and evolve the QA strategy in collaboration with tech and product leadership.

• Implement AI-powered test case generation, defect analysis, and automated regression suite optimization

• Drive end-to-end testing activities: strategy, planning, execution, automation, reporting, and release readiness.

• Mentor and guide QA engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in project testing. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to integrate QA seamlessly into the development lifecycle.

• Build automated test frameworks from scratch and continuously improve existing ones (Playwright/Python).

• Define test cases based on technical and business requirements.

• Support CI/CD processes and ensure high-quality automated pipelines (GitLab CI).

• Ensure visibility of QA metrics and quality KPIs (i.e. test coverage, defect leakage, and release quality) across all levels of the organization.

• Work independently, managing priorities and deadlines.

• Advocate for a quality-first mindset within the organization.

• Proven experience in large-scale software projects, with at least 5+ years of experience in software testing.

• Strong background in both manual and automated testing.

• Track record of mentoring QA engineers and building high-performing QA teams.

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.

• Expertise in Playwright and Python-based test automation.

• Advanced API testing (Postman) experience: design, security, execution, and automation.

• Experience in setting up and maintaining automated test pipelines from scratch (GitLab CI preferred).

• Experience with test case management and reporting tools.

• High proficiency in time management, analytics, and independent decision-making.

• Fluent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience testing mobile applications (real devices or device farms).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and eXtreme Programming practices.

• ISTQB Advanced/Expert level certification.

• Basic German language skills.

• Experience with performance and security testing.

• Exposure to AI/ML tools for testing (e.g., intelligent test creation, test impact analysis, anomaly detection).
