Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team, responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques to drive business decisions and optimize content development. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with our content team to analyze large-scale data sets, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to inform content acquisition and release strategies. Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Applying advanced data analysis techniques, including data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and AI, to large-scale data sets to drive business decisions
- Analyzing client behavior, including viewing patterns and preferences, to identify neglected client needs and untapped content opportunities
- Forecasting content engagement to inform procurement decisions and optimize content release strategies
- Streamlining our content release and episode discharge methodology to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Testing marketing strategies to enhance engagement and retention
- Ideating and developing new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance and inform strategic decisions
- Providing ad-hoc analysis support to partners to drive business growth
- Effectively communicating complex data insights to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on statistical analysis and AI methods
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and Python programming languages
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and apply creativity to complex problems
- Excellent data storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights to stakeholders through verbal, written, and visual communication
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working in the entertainment industry, with a focus on data analysis and content development
