As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the front-line contact with potential customers of a well-known bank's national contact center within the mortgage line of business.

Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to potential mortgage customers to inquire about their current mortgage needs. This is a high-volume contact center environment, and you will be working out of a queue, pulling the next available lead to call out on. Your primary goal will be to have a short conversation (5-6 minutes) with potential customers, using a scripted conversation to determine if they are interested in considering working with our client. If they are interested, you will pass them on to a Home Mortgage Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making outbound calls to potential mortgage customers to inquire about their current mortgage needs
  • Engaging in short conversations (5-6 minutes) with potential customers to determine their interest in working with our client
  • Using a scripted conversation to guide the discussion and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Passing interested customers on to a Home Mortgage Consultant
  • Working in a high-volume contact center environment, making 100-150 calls per day
  • Pulling the next available lead to call out on from a queue
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Retail sales, call center, and/or customer service experience
  • Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone and having a positive outlook on the conversation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume contact center environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior call center/sales experience is highly preferred
  • Candidates with prior experience in the mortgage banking industry are an asset
  • Experience with CRM software and other technology tools
