Senior Sustainability Specialist (Remote) – USA Remote Jobs

As the Senior Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring our corporate sustainability initiatives. You will be a key driver of our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts, working cross-functionally to integrate sustainability into our business operations. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management, and a passion for making a tangible impact. You will report directly to senior leadership and provide regular updates on our progress toward sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
• Data & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on key environmental data, including carbon emissions, waste reduction, and energy consumption. Prepare annual sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Project Management: Lead and manage sustainability projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization, including supply chain, product development, and operations, to embed sustainability into their processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate our sustainability progress and initiatives to employees, customers, and partners. Respond to inquiries and support external certifications or ratings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on environmental regulations and industry standards to ensure company practices are compliant.
• Innovation: Research and recommend new technologies, programs, and partnerships that can enhance our sustainability performance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a sustainability-focused role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position.
• Proven experience in corporate sustainability reporting and data analysis.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex information to various audiences.
• In-depth knowledge of current environmental and social issues, as well as relevant sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB).
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
