We are now looking for a Science Technician to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working 16 hours per week, term-time only (42 working weeks per year). The Benefits

- Organise and maintain equipment, ensuring timely repairs and safe storage
- Provide technical assistance to staff and students
- Carry out risk assessments
- Prepare and distribute advice sheets, safety guidance, and reprographics materials
- Experience in academic or secondary school laboratory environments
- Demonstrate knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts relating to Health and Safety (including COSHH), and safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment
- Good IT skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- To be educated to a minimum of GCSE level (grade A*-C), NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a science subject or equivalent level of practical experience
