Work Outline
The Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst will create geographic data for assigned areas, design computer-generated maps and reports, and provide administrative support to local Dealmakers. As a key member of our team, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design computer-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for the needs in the allocated regions using MapInfo as mentioned by regional Dealmakers
- Process solicitations and requests directly from Costco Operations for market strategy guides and display materials
- Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and portrayal of data as assigned
- Provide administrative support to regional dealmakers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative requirements as requested
- Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, greeting office visitors, mail handling and scheduling, ensuring all office equipment, ensuring PCs are working correctly, filing, booking deliveries, and ordering office supplies
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science)
- General knowledge of geographic information systems
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics display
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MapInfo
- Certificate in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic information systems
