The Role

As our Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you will be responsible for leading our Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and eliminating malicious actors who attempt to compromise our platform. You will also oversee our Business Analytics team, which is responsible for producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries around the world.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in recognizing and eliminating malicious actors who attempt to compromise our platform

  • Collaborate with the Strategy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
  • Develop and implement effective operational execution (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24×7
  • Manage accelerations with quick turnaround times to circle back, provide data-driven insights, and execute solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse
  • Work closely with the Product Management and Design teams to improve detection and tooling, and with the Global Merchant Activities team to oversee scaled implementation

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)

  • 4-year certification or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience working with risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/conveying analytical models
  • 2 years of experience working with design teams that build data infrastructure and ML models
  • 2 years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard hours as accelerations require
  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., research, design, data science) is a plus
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities
  • Proficiency in SQL/R/Matlab
  • Exceptional influencing and leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Strong business judgment, critical and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with large datasets and anomaly detection

  • Familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a global team with diverse stakeholders
