Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Intern, Optimization, you will be an integral part of our Operations Decision Science team, working on a range of exciting projects that will challenge and engage you. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Building complex data sets from multiple internal and external sources to support business decision-making
• Leveraging emerging technologies to identify efficient and meaningful ways to disseminate and synthesize data
• Designing, developing, implementing, and calibrating optimization products to drive business outcomes
• Interfacing with business unit leaders to develop and maintain internal customer relationships and understand their needs
• Maintaining a safety-conscious environment that prioritizes employee safety and well-being

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in operations research, data science, and analytical skills. The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• A BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum of one year of graduate coursework completed (MA/MS/PhD)
• Proven success in solving complex quantitative problems
• Working knowledge of one or more optimization techniques (LP, MILP, QCP, MIQP, CP, and/or heuristics)
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or other programming languages (Python preferred)
• Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to prioritizing safety and security, embracing diversity, and possessing a high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of optimization techniques and programming languages
