About the Role

As an Adjunct Health Care Faculty member, you'll have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, leading pharmacology skills informational events and presentations as needed. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned health care professional with a strong background in pharmacology and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacology skills informational events/PowerPoint presentations for APRN students, utilizing provided materials and resources
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements and uphold the standards of nursing as a holistic profession
• Participate in and support university programs, embodying the philosophy and direction of the institution, and serving the community
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting academic success and career advancement

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, pharmacology)
• Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., FNP, ACNP, APRN, physician's assistant, pharmacist)
• Active, unencumbered, and current license to practice in your state
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a relevant field
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students
• Proficient in English, grammar, and writing in APA format

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience in online education or teaching
• Previous experience working with Grand Canyon University or other online institutions
• Additional certifications or specialized training in pharmacology or a related field
