Job Overview

The Client Engagement Manager will oversee the client engagement function, developing and executing strategies to grow and strengthen targeted relationships within our client groups. This role requires a strong understanding of sales principles, customer relationship management, and business operations. As a Senior Client Engagement Manager, you will work closely with our Business Development and business operations teams to engage and connect customers, advance sales opportunities, and consistently meet monthly and quarterly goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute client engagement strategies to drive business growth and strengthen client relationships
  • Work closely with Business Development and business operations to engage and connect customers, advance sales opportunities, and meet sales targets
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new sales opportunities, develop well-positioned documents and presentations, and negotiate contracts
  • Utilize Salesforce to track activity, update lead, account, and opportunity information, and develop custom reports to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure message consistency, develop new business pitches, and participate in the development of RFP responses and closing accounts
  • Ensure sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures are met, and liaise with Division leaders to drive business growth and expansion

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in sales, operations, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, customer relationship management, or business development, preferably in the life sciences industry
  • A proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships, driving sales growth, and consistently meeting sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop well-positioned documents and presentations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Office, as well as Salesforce or other CRM systems

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

While not essential, the following qualifications and experience are preferred:

  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and drug development
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and budgeting principles
  • Certifications or training in sales, customer relationship management, or business development
