Key Responsibilities: Inspiring Young Mathematicians

As a Math Instructor or Senior Instructor at Mathnasium Commack, you'll play a vital role in shaping the math education of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, or through hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Collaborating with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives personalized attention
• Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions to identify areas for improvement
• Becoming proficient in digital educational materials and processes to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching tools
• Checking in and out students, designing daily plans, and helping them with topic comprehension to ensure a smooth learning experience
• Interacting with parents during check-in and check-out to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the learning process
• Maintaining a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth

Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about math education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young lives. To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A strong passion for math and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• An eagerness to learn and be trained in our proprietary teaching methodologies
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2, with Pre-Calc, Calc, and Stats being desirable additional skills
• The ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to ensure a productive and efficient learning environment
• A positive attitude, patience, and a love for working with children of all ages and grades (1-12)

All applicants will be required to take a basic math literacy test to demonstrate their math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
