As a DataPower Engineer at Workwarp, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our clients by ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of their DataPower environments. Job Overview

We have four openings for experienced DataPower Engineers who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in DataPower administration and engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and operations. This is not a development role, and we are looking for candidates who have hands-on experience with DataPower environments and can hit the ground running. The positions are fully remote, with a preference for candidates who are local to Phoenix, Hartford, or Woonsocket and can go on site as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy new devices in DataPower environments and understand the process of starting up a new deployment, including common issues that may arise and how to solve them
  • Work independently to troubleshoot configuration and operational issues, with a focus on root cause analysis and implementing best practice and procedural enhancements
  • Support the full lifecycle of the infrastructure platform, including deploying new physical and virtual DataPower appliances, firmware updates, migrating between form factors, managing certificates and related objects
  • Create and use dashboards, reports, platform monitoring, and alerts to quickly determine the health of the systems and identify issues as soon as they arise
  • Collaborate with other teams to support incoming requests, incidents, and change requests across the environments
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call schedule on a weekly rotation and perform after-hours changes as needed

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications:

  • Experience supporting the full lifecycle of the infrastructure platform, including deploying new physical and virtual DataPower appliances, firmware updates, migrating between form factors, managing certificates and related objects
  • Strong understanding of DataPower infrastructure and operations, with a focus on stability, security, and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with DataPower administration and engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and operations
  • Ability to convert without sponsorship, with a valid GC or USC

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • APIC experience, including APIC v10
  • Experience with DataPower on OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Cloud Pak for Integration
  • Automation capability using shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Dashboarding, reporting, and alerting using Splunk or similar tools
  • Strong drive for process improvement and operational excellence
